WATERBORNE SAFETY OPERATIONS (WSO-201)
Outline
Introduction
In today’s challenging world, executives, dignitaries, and VIPs use water venues for both professional and recreational settings to include activities such as boating, water skiing, tubing, fishing, swimming, SCUBA diving, sight-seeing, and others. With 71% of the earth’s surface covered by water, there’s a high probability that services as an Executive Protection Agent or Security Specialist will include protective operations in a waterborne environment.
Executive protection agents must be properly trained to competently and confidently perform in a variety of waterborne environments to ensure that their clients are Safe.
Purpose
The Waterborne Safety Operations Training Program (WSO-201) is designed to deliver a comprehensive blend of skills for agents providing safety and security oversight of principal activities in and around bodies of water.
Successful completion of the course includes a two-year certification as a Lifeguard with Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First-Aid through the American Red Cross, and a Boater License through a state government of the student’s choice.
This unique, modular training program is delivered via a hybrid combination of live, instructor-led instruction, challenging practical application drills, and web-based/online components. The program culminates with several mission profile scenarios in which students will be evaluated on the entire spectrum of skills encompassed by the curriculum.
